Overview

Ntule Kë Hadfow was founded durring the early 17th century in early winter of the year 1627, by Violette. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Violette.

Ntule Kë Hadfow was built using the conventions of Wood Elf durring the early 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ntule Kë Hadfow is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Ntule Kë Hadfow is buildings are arranged arround a network of broad packed earth streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city emploies a series of defencive earthworks, spikes, and fences to provide some protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. Astonishigly, the minimaly adiquite are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

Ntule Kë Hadfow seems to be abandoned at first. There are people present, working their trades and going about their business like any community, it’s just they are absurdly quiet. Just as you start to think there might be trouble, you see most of them are reading. The entire city feels like a library, with those not reading remaining quite to not disturb those who have their nose in a book. The longer you remain in Ntule Kë Hadfow the more you start to wonder if you’ve entered some strange open-concept University rather than a city, but you can’t quite say such with certainty.

Points of Interest

Ntule Kë Hadfow was unknowingly built atop something unstable, and now that substrate is crumbling. It may be swampy ground or a decaying coastline, or it could be an ancient buried city that’s now giving way. In the case of some antique habitation, the denizens that once lived there might be boiling upward as their home is collapsing, or new opportunities may be revealed even as the community’s present structure is ruined.

Due to a magical anomaly, Ntule Kë Hadfow is directly accessible from a nearby river, despite the lack of a physical connection between the town's pond and the river.
